Dr. Tim Fleming, Medical Director
Dr. Tim Fleming is a 1995 graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University. His areas of interest include laser surgery, dermatology, and small animal orthopedic surgery. He received advanced training at the University of Tennessee Orthopedic Skills Course.
Dr. Fleming is a member of the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Memphis-Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Laser Society. He is active in both the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association, and has served in elected representative roles in both associations. He was voted the 2005 MVMA Young Veterinarian of the Year by his peers. Dr. Fleming and his family are long term residents of Desoto county, and Dr. Fleming has provided veterinary care to pets in Southaven and Desoto County since 2003.
Dr. Bailey Fleming Poling
Dr. Bailey Fleming Poling is a graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), and the Memphis-Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association (MSCVMA).
Dr. Poling lives in Hernando. When she isn't working, Dr. Bailey enjoys traveling with her husband, Dr. Ryan Poling, and spending time with her son, dogs Winston and Talulah, and their cats, Steve, Bob, and Flo.
Dr. Ryan Poling
Dr. Ryan Poling is a graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), and the Memphis-Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association (MSCVMA).
Dr. Poling is a native of West Virginia, and moved to Mississippi to attend veterinary school after graduating from West Virginia University. He is married to Dr. Bailey Poling and the live in Hernando with their son, two dogs, and three cats.
Dr. Courtney Dorris
Dr. Dorris is a graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association.
She is a native of Olive Branch, Mississippi. She and her husband Robert have two rescue dogs, Brody and Annie.
Outside of work, Dr. Dorris likes to outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and canoeing.
Marla - Practice Manager
Marla is our Practice Manager, and with 29 years in veterinary medicine, Marla's expertise spans large animal care, avian and pocket pet hospitals, and equine anesthesia. For the past decade, she has served as Practice Manager at Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic, in Texas.
Married for almost 30 years, Marla enjoys fishing and shares her home with her cat, Tewa. Her wealth of experience and leadership make her a vital member of our team.
Annie
Annie currently resides in Desoto County where she is engaged to her fiance, Taylor. Together they have three beautiful children, a Shih Tzu, and two cats.
Outside of work, Annie's interests are arts and craft and outdoor activities.
Nicolas
Originally from Michigan, Nicolas moved to Mississippi six years ago and has been with Hernando Animal Clinic since 2017. He has three dogs, a cat, and eight chickens. Nicolas plans on going to college to become a veterinarian.
Outside of work, he enjoys doing anything that is outdoors.
Jordan
Jordan has been with Hernando Animal Clinic since 2018. She is 25 years old, and is married to a wonderful husband for 5 years. They have a 3 year daughter. They share their some with a 10-year-old Pitbull and a 10-year-old Chihuahua.
Outside of work, Jordan spends all her free time with her husband and daughter!
Michelle
Michelle is originally from Searcy, Arkansas. She has lived in Mississippi for almost seven years. Michelle has been with Hernando Animal Clinic since 2017 and loves being a receptionist and building relationships with HAC's clients.
She and her husband, Mark, live in Nesbit with their 12-year-old Pomeranian, Angel, and their two cats, Annie (aka KitKit) and Bessie. Michelle and Mark spend their time together doing home repairs or working on their property in Rose Bud, Arkansas.
Outside of work, you can find Michelle spending time in nature, especially exploring the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. She also loves spending time with her husband and seeing her children and grandchildren, who all live in Arkansas, as much as possible.
Jerrilynn
Jerrilynn has been with Hernando Animal Clinic since 2020. She has three wonderful kids, Ashlynn, Kimber and Levi, a horse named Triton, and a mini Aussie named Wheeler.
Jerrilynn's interests outside of work are spending time on with her family on their boat and riding horses with friends.
Abbie
Abbie is newly engaged to her fiancé, Anthony. She has two dogs, two horses, and one cat. Her main hobby is horse back riding, but Abbie enjoys fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Sarah
Sarah is from Memphis, Tennessee, and has been a veterinary technician for almost a year. She says the most rewarding part about her job is that she gets to help pets and learn something new every day, all while working with people who share the same passion for helping animals!
Outside of work, Sarah loves riding horses with her coworkers and spending time with her two beautiful boxers that are her whole life!
Mia
Mia was born in Greensville, MS, but has seen the world over. When she lived in the Caribbean, her love for animals spiked after seeing how they had been mistreated. From that moment on, Mia vowed to dedicate the rest of her life to giving animals a voice. Currently a student at Ole Miss University of Mississippi, Mia is studying hard to become a veterinarian. Outside of the clinic, Mia's favorite hobbies are thrift-shopping, binge-watching Netflix, and traveling with her family.
Kim
Kim currently resides in Memphis, where she loves Harry Potter and spending time with her dog, Montana, and cat, Snacks.
Outside of work, Kim likes concerts, playing with pets, listening to music, and binge watching Harry Potter.
Laura
Laura joined us in 2023 as a receptionist. With over 2 years of experience in the veterinary field, Laura brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for working with animals.
Prior to her career in veterinary medicine, Laura worked in retail management for over 25 years and was awarded "Store Manager of the Year" several times. She graduated from Bella Vista High School in California and also attended Sierra College. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, shopping, and playing with her two Yorkies named Wall-e and GusGus.
Tyler
Tyler, our Kennel & Technician Assistant, is an upcoming senior in high school. After graduation, he plans to attend Mississippi State University for his undergraduate studies. Following that, he aims to enroll in the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine to pursue a career and earn a doctorate in veterinary medicine.
